This probably leaves out the Tram Garage locations returning for mazes.

I wonder if the Metro Sets are coming back this year. I liked going to Curious George area better than the Metro Sets. However, the Metro Sets at least gave Hollywood a few more scare zones.

As of now, I've heard no Metro Sets.

I've also heard we're losing a location next year that isn't TWD.

Any speculation if TWD will be gutted and turned into a maze location, or, would stay mothballed exactly as it is for next year?

Well, if this means they will have more money to improve the houses then so be it. I'd prefer Metro sets, but I would much rather have no black walls.

Hmmmm....if it's what I think it is....end of of an era. Ironic the venue had its first and last house with the same IP.

I thought they were talking about Parisian Courtyard, wasn’t there rumors of that area being cannibalized by an Illumination land??

I believe there were rumors about Mummy’s departure next year?

For what it's worth, I have also heard no Metro.

Mummy has always been a stickler of a "will it or won't it". But if it's closed by say...Labor Day, I don't necessarily think that would immediately cause Universal to outright deny a venue because the building right next to it would close. I also wonder if SNW being potentially pushed to 2023 causes things to shift on timelines. Even with new soundstages at Barham Gate.

Not necessarily. Jurassic Park was closed on September 3rd 2018 which was Labor Day. And that was 11 Days prior to HHN opening and we couldn't use the JP Queue for HHN in 2018.

Ah! Fair enough. I forgot about Jurassic not being used for 2018. Still feels strange if that's the location.

I tend to think they'd wait to close Mummy (if that is the plan) until SNW is open or at least imminent, like a firm opening date.

I also kinda think that, just based on how many times that ride has seemingly been on the chopping block only to keep going, that we'd see a re-done Parisian Courtyard before a Mummy teardown, but that's only because it's survived for as long as it has. IDK what it is with that ride specifically but it feels immortal at this point.

Eh, IDK. I know the Mummy keeps getting bumped off the chopping block, but I truly believe that if we lived in on alternate timeline in an episode of “What If?” where Covid never happened, I think Mummy would’ve been closed by now. Mummy has been on the radar for the next ride to be removed for quite some time, but now that things are getting back on track, maybe this is finally it.

I’ve already voiced my concerns about USH lacking a “proper” coaster should Mummy close next year, but I’ve already voiced my thoughts on the ride’s thread. I’m putting my chips down for the Mummy venue being the house venue we’re losing.

So that would leave? What? Maybe one maze location on the lower lot with Metro gone? Sheesh. Of course, that’s assuming JW Is still a no go, and that is my assumption.

That messes up the traffic flow quite a bit. Maybe they’ll bring back a scare zone again down there? I don’t think just a maze in SS29 is going to get it done. Even with all three regular attractions open during HHN. A lot of the GP won’t want to make the long trip for one maze, unless it’s the headliner, I suppose? Either way, it’s going to feel weird on the lower lot. Hope they can figure something out.

We know Universal Hollywood will be able to develop eventually near that of Mummy and Jurassic World, as the soundstages and rehearsal hall near there are earmarked. I think it's more biding time, waiting for key bits to be made; before Mummy's time finally comes.

I don't think Mummy's going in 2022. In-fact, I think it'll be gone by Late 2023. But I am not going to be shocked if we need to keep watch of any queue adjustments at Waterworld. As if any location goes, I wonder if that might be it for reasons not too far off from why DWT is no longer viable.

I know it's a pipe dream, but I so wish they could do a 10-15 minute highlight clip of key moments from the 1959 film The Tingler... complete with chair effects, as William Castle had intended. It would be epic.

The Vincent Prince LSD freak out scene would also be hilarious by today's standards, but they'd probably never be able to get rid of the smell of pot everyone would be using in there.

That little blurb hasn’t changed even before the event, so I wouldn’t take that as concrete confirmation that the TT is staying (though I don’t think it’ll be going, either). Look at the outdated picture used for the “Outrageous Live Entertainment” blurb in a year where all we got was the Jabba show. They’re all just puff things.

Would like to bring up that as it stands now, Murdy would think Tram is happening. He is the one heading HHN after-all.

Not bothering to DP, so Editing.

So let's say Metro and the one extra maze is off limits, that basically means there would only be 6 venues for Halloween Horror Nights this year. One lesser than 2021. Keeping the Terror Tram would likely be a sensical decision due towards that of the capacity needed of the event. And without having to use Metro, and having a fresh start; that could allow Hollywood's team to go full tilt on what they want for this year.

The maze lineup would be reduced, but the quality of the mazes might have the potential to improve greatly if houses can be evenly distributed and spreaded out. Add in the probable return of Jabbawockeez, the return of the Universal Plaza being used as a party atmosphere (Alongside hopefully something down in Lower Lot); and Potter being open, that allows them to evenly separate capacity all around. Would mean we'd be dealing with less exclusives, but I'm willing to be fine with that if it means the mazes are all $$$ on quality.

I understand that decreased capacity is less ideal, but I'm actually glad it looks like they're not going to be able to do more than six houses this year. This is going to force them to allocate those funds that would've gone to adding another house to improving the quality of the houses and the Tram. Please do something about those black walls for the love of all that is good.

Oh, and maybe they could finally put a small scale show in Animal Actors while they're at it.
