So Indisious next week with everything following the week after?
I expect an announcement video for Bride 2 or whatever they end up calling it. Not only do the Universal Monster houses usually get one, but the announcement for the last Bride house was my favorite to date.

Whoops. Just realized we didn't get one for last year's Universal Monsters house. I still want it though, lol

I was definitely surprised being told that there were certain rooms in the originals we couldn't take pictures of.

One I distinctly remember - in the Darkest Deal, there were no photos of any instruments. (I believe because of the branding of them)
YES! That's one I forgot. I think it was Puppet Theater they said they went to Europe to get the organ or something...and maybe a harp. They approached the manufacturers of them about using them and they didn't sign off on something. (Darkest deal was part of my 6-house tour, but don't remember them saying anything in that one particularly).

Soooo, not sure if the "cameras down" was to not upset them...or not open themselves to litigation after being told the manufactures wouldn't sign off on the event and they used them anyway.

2017 was the first year of them truly enforcing the rule, where yes - even Originals had restrictions. Fallen was due to the angle being changed at the last minute and moved away from the obvious Angels vs Demons. Hive also had some restrictions due to it being an IP replacement... and the dead vampire babies. I think Neo is right that they may shy away from any potential religious iconography getting posted - which I understand completely.

In recent years though, they've relaxed on those hardcore photo rules. Several photos I took from HHN 30 and last year's tour feature plenty of gore (I didn't do 31's UTH).
2017 was such a fun year too

HHN27 was my first year, and I’ve always wondered if it was just because everything was new to me, but no, I truly think it was an amazing year. Definitely my favorite. HHN32 came close though.

So, to speculate. I'm working on the various guides for HHN and was wondering what the passes could cost this year. Here is last year's pricing:
  • Rush of Fear Pass: $179.99 plus tax
  • Frequent Fear Pass: $229.99 plus tax
  • Frequent Fear Plus Pass: $269.99 plus tax
  • Ultimate Frequent Fear Pass: $379.99 plus tax
Express Offerings:
  • Rush of Fear Pass with Express: $529.99 plus tax
  • Frequent Fear Pass with Express: $609.99 plus tax
  • Frequent Fear Pass Plus with Express: $699.99 plus tax
  • Ultimate Frequent Fear Pass with Express: $919.99 plus tax
So I think $199 for RoF feels completely fair, so does a $250 FFP. Questions are FFP+ and above and the express offerings - what is the price cap? Feels sorta infinite, why not make Ultimate FFP with Express $999?

Using this chart from Reddit, base-level multi-night tickets all increased by roughly $50, while express versions all increased by $100. 6-House tours increased by about $60 from 2023 to 2024, starting from $179 now. I don't want to say they'd rinse and repeat with similar price increases this year, but at the same time, the demand is there. There were lots of complaints about the crowds during ROF season, so clearly $179 was not stopping purchases.

What I would be curious to know is a ballpark of how many people buy each version of the multi-night tickets. UFF + Express could certainly wind up at $999 or higher, but are there enough people using that pass relative to the lower tiers that raising the price would help the overall crowd flow/guest experience? Or would it just be lining Universal's pockets with extra cash from the small minority of guests who shell out for that level ticket?

Just to get my predictions in, +$30 on base tickets, and +$50 on express versions.

Rush of Fear: $209.99 (valid until 9/22?)
Frequent Fear: $259.99
Frequent Fear Plus: $299.99
Ultimate Frequent Fear: $409.99

Rush of Fear + Express: $579.99
Frequent Fear + Express: $659.99
Frequent Fear Plus + Express: $759.99
Ultimate Frequent Fear + Express: $969.99 (breaks $1,000 next year, when UOR is red hot in popularity from Epic's opening)

@Bort I think/hope you’re right - minimal price increase given lower visitor numbers at the moment, coupled with what appears to be “lesser IP” offering this year (I actually like the IPs this year, and reserving judgement until I’ve walked through them at least once). Too much of a price hike will lead me to getting less merch, etc, but given travel dates my ticket choice is already locked in.

I know they'll never bring back the BOGO of 2019 but dang, I really wish there was a more affordable way to go three nights. FFP keeps going up so much that it doesn't feel like I'm getting that third day for much of a deal. Which, tbf, I know FFP are meant for people going more than we do, and it's an excellent deal if you can go more. I just want to get in as much HHN as I can for the short time I'm in Orlando lol
