Limited yes but if houses are open 9-5 or so it seems like they would be able to sell plenty of tickets as long as they don’t let reruns happen

Five minutes a party (max, 6, let’s say). Twelve parties an hour. Eight hours. Two houses. 1,152 people a day.

$30 bucks a pop. $34,560 a day.

I'm kinda excited for the possibility of happening however I am slightly concerned that if they do virtual queues then no one will ever be able to get a queue time. We already see that with rides on the weekends.

What if you buy a ticket, but never get a chance to get a virtual queue spot?
How would that work?

I understand that Universal needs money but they need to also respect the consumer. I haven't seen a lot of respect towards consumers from Universal lately *cough* vinyls *cough*

So, it seems Bride and Tooth fairy are shoe in's. What's stopping Pumpkin and Puppet Theater dropping by for the party? Were those houses never fully complete?

And @Legacy is Beetlejuice impossible? Maybe WB may change their mind since we are pretty much in a better scenario then when we where in July?

And screw it.

All original house names:

Bride of Frankenstein Lives
HHN Icons: Captured
Revenge of the Tooth Fairy
Puppet Theatre: Captive Audience
The Wicked Growth: Realm of the Pumpkin
Welcome to (S)Carey: Horror in the Heartland

CHAOS!

You might have shifted from Chaotic Neutral, but this is a very unique situation so I'll happily take it.

Regarding the Theater, that is such a WANT. I'm 100% all in on that.
As for where the pumpkin lord reigns, I definitely like the name of it.
Finally, for the anniversary house. After all these years, and it's for a little punny "A-HA!" moment. I love it!

Minus the cost of paying performers, stage managers, and ops. A house’s cast consists of around 40 scareactors total getting paid $15 an hour. For an eight hour shift, that’s $9,600 per house for scareactors alone.

I understand his example is just an example, but that was my thought too. $34k before operation costs hardly seems worth the hassle for a company the size of Universal.

The (incomplete) facades were struck for the sprungs, and there is no way to effectively socially distance their green room space. So, they’re out.

And regarding Beetlejuice, Universal has to ask WB first. It’s easier to not bother if they don’t feel a need to. And any contract negotiation can change the costs as well. Universal has no incentive for it, yet. I wouldn’t expect it.

This is assuming they run full casts (which I doubt). They were already replacing some scares with mannequins for this year anyway. I think houses will 10-15 performers a set. Maybe less. At 15 a house, that’s on $7,200 for performers.

Yes, but how many people buy tickets or packages to Universal in order to just get in the door? How many passholders make it a day at the park that they'd ordinarily pass on? How many people buy other things in the park because they're just...there? I see your point, but "butts in the door" is what they will need in a down season without a main HHN event.

Space groups 30 seconds to a minute apart for social distancing, and get more people through. That gives plenty of space for safe distancing, and not getting near one another.

Let’s estimate $15,000 a day for staffing. That’s $330,000 in expenses.

Worth it. Especially since it’s an attendance driver.

EDIT - Also, with that estimated expense and if they charge $30 a pop, they only need 500 a day to break even.

Plus Tom Williams can go to the board and execs and show how 1) they are finding unique revenue systems during this time 2) there is demand still and once the pandemic has subsided people will return.

And they're going to sell so many cheeseburgers and beer. Let's be honest here. Getting more people in the door that otherwise wouldn't be there may be more important than just separate ticket revenue.

Wonder what the chances of an annual pass unlimited pass would be. Obviously you’d still need a virtual queue or whatever they decide.

Well I just read all of this.. what a roller coaster.

Being an out-of-state person who is coming down to Orlando in 18 days.. I'll definitely pay $50 for 2 houses, as desperate as it sounds. I don't know when/if I'll be back for HHN, so I'll take any chance I can get.

Very true, I’m local to Orlando and if they did this I’d rather pay for a hotel, and pregame two house walkthroughs at Finnegans rather than get an AirBnB and go to Tampa for HoS
