Yikes that sounds weird? Halloween? We should call this something along the lines of Fright Night? Maybe something with Horror in it? Sorry @Mad Dog but that made up word won't stick?

Just curious does anybody see a possibility of this said event starting next weekend? I was guessing it will probably be the week after or the beginning of October

It feels good to have an announcement that I know is coming very soon.
With the Governor thinking about adding more people into parks, do you think that could effect "HHN" lite in October? Definitely would increase the profit.

We need a name for this HHN event thing until we get an official one, anybody got any idea's.? I don't like HHN lite.

Throw Behaviour Interactive a blank check and call it Halloween Horror Nights: Death by Daylight.

That gives me some slight hope but with how 2020 has been going I’m still extremely cautious lol. Thank you!

I mean, as a media campaign, “HHNForever” is fine.

The houses being open, and anything that happens in the streets tangentially to the houses being opens, is not “an event.” People need to stop thinking of it as such.

A house’s cast consists of around 40 scareactors total getting paid $15 an hour. For an eight hour shift, that’s $9,600 per house for scareactors alone.

If they were getting paid $15 an hour they'd be ecstatic. It just went up to $13 minimum in February (and scareactors make the minimum).

So, hypothetically, if it’s announced that Icons and Beetlejuice are open for daytime ops, are people going to lose their minds again, or have we progressed to acceptance?

The Lantern

The Lantern was the main prop for Halloween Horror Nights: Twenty Years of Fear. It was an oil lantern with two X's, and it was covered in overgrown vines. On July 27th, 2010 on the Halloween Horror Nights website, the lantern would reveal flames in the shape of past icons, and bring you to a...

I kept my original HHN trip as planned and will be arriving before next weekend. Psyched for whatever this might be if it does indeed start that weekend.

It honestly depends on the messaging. If it's a "get a peak at what will be featured at next year's HHN"...fine. If they leave it open to this being the only chance to see up-to four houses (nearly half the event), I'd have an issue with that.

For me, it is what it is. I've only been to the event twice but am at the stage in my life where I want to make it an annual tradition. I love Halloween and haunted attractions in general and HHN is, obviously, one of the best examples of that in the world.

Regardless of what they open, if they decide to replace them for the next event, I'll make due with it. They'll be plenty of videos and pictures of them online so it's not like I won't be blind to them. Not the same as seeing in person but hey, that mild disappointment will get replaced with excitement for the next trip rather quickly!

100% acceptance on my end.

And like you said earlier, people are trying hard to force the narrative that "It's still HHN" if they open a few houses. I really don't get why. It wouldn't be anything close to resembling an HHN event.

Quick side note. I got to meet with the artist behind the icon merch yesterday, he said they are finishing up an all girl addition to the icon merch featuring Lady Luck, chance, terra queen and Cindy. He also said terra queen was supposed to be on the merch in the spot where eddie is. He has also said due to what marketing and higher ups are asking him to start working on, that next year will be a bigger 30th anniversary than anticipated. Just some things I got from him I thought I’d share!

At this point I don't care what they do as long as it increases demand at the hotels. I have been furloughed since March and I would really like to get back to work.
