Hypothetically, would those houses be included to the other rumors (Brides and Tooth fairy)?

I know it sucks that they cancelled the event and some of the houses still may operate and you may not get to see them. But here's the reality: These houses (most of them) are likely not rolling over to next year based on what i've heard. Most of them are getting demolished either way, so why not make some money back since you've already got them sitting there and the crowds will be low.

They are making this up as they are going. They didn't have a plan when they cancelled. Once they realized the obvious - that September and October would be dead without HHN - they started to try and figure out a way to put something together, and it just happens that a few houses are involved. We don't always like the things the parks do, but when they are in a position of desperately needing to find ways to make money, you do what you have to to get by.

It may piss some of you off that they are doing this, but this might be the only time these houses are ever seen, just like would be normal. What I mean by that is that they may have been meant for demo anyway. So it was now or never.

Any word on filmed walkthroughs? I'd legitimately pay for a decently filmed production (or even VR film) of them at the end of the season.

So are they going all in with four houses possibly? I hate the idea that Icons may get shown this year, but maybe they will make a different throwback house next year? We did miss out this year on Legendary Truth after all.

Im gonna guess Beetlejuice may not get left out. Universal knows that maybe one IP (Debatably the biggest IP this year, and I don't really count Bride as an IP.) will bring in the people. And like I already said, it's gonna be weird having Beetlejuice merch and a whole section of the tribute store without it's appearance. They may have to smooth talk WB though...

Anybody know when the state may let parks increase capacity? Iv'e seen the GOV talking about it a bit recently. He of all people want to get people back into the parks as much as possible since they run the state financially almost.

Okay, even if that be the case, if you don't want to be spoiled and don't want to come down due to COVID/can't come down, then like, don't watch a walkthrough? I mean, there's so many theme park things I look forward too (SNW for example). I'm greatly looking forward to that, but you don't see me commenting in that thread ever because I don't want to be spoiled before I visit myself. It seems impossible, but, it's really not.

I've still heard different though. I've heard some were going to be demoed, although most would be the same.

I agree there.

Also, I have only heard of two houses opening and Beetlejuice is not one of them because it’s already taken down.

Yes, Bride and Tooth Fairy from what I hear.

And didn't you just say that all houses would be back next year when I said some would be coming down?

Why would they tear a house down if they expect it to be rebuilt? Is it just because they need the space?

Of course, but now that it's down, it means that literally any IP (non-Disney) could take over it's spot. Or WB may not feel comfortable enough having BJ at the event next year. There's any number of things that could happen once the houses come down. At least in terms of the IP houses at least. This is getting a bit too 2021 spec-y though so i'll stop.

That section of the parade building is used for Macy's balloons, so maybe they're hoping they'll get to use them this year? I can't imagine this happening though, due to the influx of outside people needed and the lack of social distancing.

dont apologise. Its not ur fault. It typically isn't just one person whose causing chaos. It tends to just snowball out of control

I mean, they film every year. It's rarely footage that's released to the public though. They mostly just film for commercial footage and for posterity.

The expensive part of the houses is the tech equipment, scenic, props and costumes. They use the Tech Equipment year after year and they can save Costumes and Props for another year. I'm sure that they carefully took out the scenic elements as well. The other main component of a normal house is simply a bunch of plywood walls and stuff.

A house could be rebuilt at a minimal cost.
