Yeah I mustn't have been quick enough for opening night boofet, and I got on as soon as tickets went on sale. Maybe boofet is just not available opening night due to lots of groups being catered for.

Got the beyond the fog tour.

Prices way up!

I'm curious, I know they did specify it didn't include admission, but do you know if it is going to be like HHN where you don't need daytime admission to go? Or is it like a Keys to the Kingdom thing where you already have to have park admission too?

Just bought my ticket for opening day! Slight increase for single day tickets this year; cost 60.99 with tax included.

They've implemented a new bag policy also, so make sure to read the fine print. I've never brought a bag, so it doesn't effect me much. Zipper pockets forever

That was quick. Boo-fet is sold out for opening night. Not sure when it was announced, but the chaperone policy will now be extended to all event nights of KSF. I'm sure this might affect some of you on here, but this is awesome news for me. It's been a much better experience during the day, so looking forward to a better experience during KSF.

Yes, this has been updated on their main website header. I was curious if they'd extend it to Scary Farm. So far the response has been positive!

Also, just a small update from their social media replies, but they will not be offering any more Scary Farm passes this year. I'm hoping that next year they not only bring back the announcement night but also allow the Scary Farm add ons to be available to everyone.

No boo-fet means I'll actually get a good view of the opening lol. I wonder if the teens from the promo videos will be featured?

So with everything revealed, a couple things to point out. It looks like the Carnival Du Grotesque show has been reimagined, and the Conjurers show seems to gotten an update as well with the Dark Magic subtitle. (The desc also makes reference to an Undertaker, so it sounds like they've got a particular direction for this show.) Also, the Halloween Hootenanny overlay is returning for the log ride as usual.

Now there's one more matter, what mazes are having their swan song? While the descriptions on the website don't reveal anything, apparently the descriptions put out for the press releases reveal otherwise, say farewell to Pumpkin Eater and Dark Ride.

The 49th Season of Knott’s Scary Farm Turns Nightmares into Reality with New Signature Scares

Pumpkin Eater – Watch your head as you navigate the twisted passages as you come face to face with the pumpkin monsters that lurk in the dark of the Pumpkin Eater maze. The notorious creature is on the prowl, hidden within the dark confines of the haunted town he once terrorized. To escape the sinister Pumpkin Eater’s wrath, all who enter must go on a quest through the silent town of victims, face a cave of crawling insects and solve the labyrinth of thorns that blocks the way out. Enjoy one last slice of terror as this legendary journey through a colonial nightmare comes to a horrific end.

Dark Ride – Pull down that lap bar for one final spin through an abandoned carnival ride where cruel carnie folk still linger in the shadows in Dark Ride: Castle of Chaos. The carnival has become a refuge for freaks and carnies. Now those shunned performers have created a dark world of terror which they plan to unleash on those who enter. Dark Ride will lead brave visitors through a treacherous path and into the bowels of a long-neglected attraction, as sinister shadows and horrifying scenes cast the gloom over the once pleasant ride. It’s everyone’s worst nightmare, being helplessly trapped inside an abandoned carnival ride without a way out. Escape quickly, as the ol’ carnival ride is about to be shut down for good and with it any chance of ever getting out alive.

I'll admit I'll eat crow on thinking Pumpkin Eater had at least another year or so with the last third being changed, but when I think about it, if the event didn't go on hiatus for a year, then that could've meant this year would still possibly have been its last. Either way, both Pumpkin Eater and Dark Ride are currently the two oldest mazes at the event. So it made sense they were prime for having their swan song.

I'm just trying to imagine them bringing back Dark Entities AGAIN next year and that's just hilarious to me. That's like one of two or three mazes I've seen have absolutely zero line throughout the entire night, throughout the entire event, and throughout its entire run.

I feel like they must have some idea what they wanna do with it if they're willing to just let it sit around, but I really dont see it making it past next year.
If we lost something like Depths or Origins before dark entities bit the bullet, I'd really start to question if they even remember it exists at this point.

i always thought Dark Entities could have been saved with the addition of the lazer tag element. Setting up the second chapter on that maze’s story that you're a clean up crew trying to retake the ship.

but with the newest vamp maze, i guess not.

Getting rid of dark ride and pumpkin could possibly be setting up the idea of revamping the Carnevil zone with a new maze matching that style.

Then the hollows being turned into a new scarezone entirely.

Not sure if you noticed in the press release, but it did mention this is the last year of the hollows as well. I'm shocked Dark Entities is getting ANOTHER undeserved year.

Why would they get rid of The Hollows?! I was finally forgiving them for getting rid of The Gauntlet, then they replaced it with that whack Necropolis scarezone and The Hollows honestly was one of my fav zones.

This is why I can't be loyal to KSF anymore lol. The day they get rid of Ghost Town is the day I stop going, period.

Dark Entities has been a failure from the get-go. I never saw long lines for it, and if they weren't so dead set on only doing two mazes every year, this one is a prime candidate for cutting.
