I wonder if they planned the attractions at the same time...I am all for another attraction in Universal besides Potter and more-so for one in an area without an attraction..Hopefully they will use something other than a scoop type ride system

As I said before, I really don't think this is Transformers. That's a hunch based on no info, but I just don't think that's what it is.

I think we're getting ahead of ourselves here. If SS44 truly was condemned as believed to be, there was probably no choice but to demo it for use... even if it's just for a HHN house.

It wasn't condemned. That's an internet fallacy. It just wasn't used.

And there is a permit for its use for HHN that I guess isn't happening now. The fact that this permit comes along a few weeks after the HHN one leads me to believe they greenlighted a project.

Just want to point out if Transformers did come I would imagine it being a new type of attraction and Monsters to be rethemed to a NEST facility.

That timetable seems pretty quick, no? I think it'd be better if we saw:

Reasons why I think it is Transformers:

1. Steven Speilberg's quotes
2. Disney' getting VERY aggressive with Marvel. Bog Iger said that they want to incorporate the Marvel Characters into every park... I think his use of the word EVERY was not a mistake. I do not think it was simply a throw away. I think Disney is dying to bring those characters out of IOA and into WDW.
3. Even if Spiderman were to stay for years and years, the parks have oftern reused the same ride systems: Woody's and Flight of the Hippogriff, Hulk has a powered launch, and Mummy has powered launch, There is a big roller coaster at the front of IOA and USF. Over at Disney the omnimover technology is used at MK 3 times and 2 times at Epcot.

Seems like a good timeframe. Though I wouldn't expect SS44 replacement to be done by 2013. With it being an island in the middle of the park, I'd say if it's going to be anything substantial, it's going to take a while.

I would hope whatever going in there is something new we've never seen before no matter what the franchise.

KidZone won't happen until after Potter. And they want Potter open by 2014. I'm not saying it won't slide to '15, but the plan is definitely late 2014 as of now.

Which is why another E ticket opening early/mid 2014 with Potter coming on late that year would make a crazy awesome 25th anniversary celebration.

KidZone won't happen until after Potter.

I am not sure why you feel definite about this. 80% of a kidzone replacement can be built offsite. There is nothing else in the park that replaces it and nothing coming, so when they yank it apart there they will be left with the parade only. They might as well start it tomorrow as its impact will be the same no matter what.

Except Iger and Staggs have both consistently said in those same interviews that "WDW is off the table." And "We have no Marvel plans for WDW."
