Well, the appliances and machines would obviously be on the inside so heavy equipment wouldn't really help there, and the spoil pile was asphalt, so it was clearly dug outside. It seems almost inconceivable to me that they wouldn't have shut off valves for every building that is easily accessible in the event of a water leak. I guess what I'm saying is, it's unnecessary to cap stuff off before demolition if we're talking street level things. Fire suppression lines are the only thing I can think of that might require capping. Just trying to figure the order of all this like we all are. Guess my point was, digging at this juncture isn't the usual way things go.
