If it is Transformer's there will be clear differences between this and L.A. and Signapore. What doesn't work as well on those two attractions probably won't come to this one.

Wow, I go away to Key West for the weekend and THIS epicness happens? :faint:

This is amazing, and I'd like to think me starting this thread way back when had something to do with it :look:

Based on youtube rides, I'll take TF here ANYDAY it is still similar, but very different from Spiderman so they would be close in appearence, but different in experience.

Sometimes I get lost in the idea that Universal Parks build what people at Universal Parks approve to be built. Of course the truth is that they have to sell the idea to those who hold the purse strings.

So that makes me wonder if Comcast asked to see Universal's past 10 years of blue sky projects. When Comcast saw something that they love they just say 'let's build it'. Could it be that easy?

Who paid for Potter to come to IOA? GE and Blackstone? I have never heard it discussed how that all played out re: the money. How they sold the idea to their owners.

Yea, it was NBC/Blackstone that actually brokered that deal, but I believe they mainly did it in order to make the parks look more lucrative, and I bet they sure are kicking themselves in the pants for selling so early.

HP is making money in droves to the point Comcast is willing re-invest more into the park and now with Disney deciding to CUT BACK on spending, this can truly be a golden age for USF and TRUE theme park wars in Orlando.

I totally agree with vyrus. Honestly USO is coming into a massive amount of money either way (If Disney wants Marvel or not) and so with practically a massive makeover in the entire USF park this could mean even more money way before Potter 2.0 hits the ground. They honestly need something better with the kidzone and if that giant space behind Simpson's cld be used for TF, I'm left to wonder (either way) what could possibly be coming in.

So GE didn't have to approve of the deal?

Much like MIB and Cat in the Hat...same relative ride system...different execution. I have no problem seeing the same ride vehicle used on 2 (no more than 2) different attractions, they are in different parks as well...

I never liked Ghostbusters..I know I'm going to be shot but I thought the ride and movie were both kind of lame...

Up until recently, Hogsmeade was labeled Diagon Alley. It's not an accurate source of anything. Just a fun tool to visit the parks from the air.

From Jason Garcia ( @Jason_Garcia ) :

Amid Transformers rumors, Universal Orlando says it will remove "a portion" of former Hercules/Xena building as "we are preparing Universal Studios Florida for future growth."

Also, Universal says Donkey meet-and-greet will close and "eventually" be relocated. Monster's Cafe restaurant will remain open.

I wonder where they would put Donkey at if they actually relocated him?

They say portion due to the fact they will label this with the state as a renovation not a new facility. Its all about ways around the system i.e. Taxes. But thats just my thoughts on that.

Seems to me at the rate they're going, the "future" is hopefully in sight

Keeping a portion of the building is a way to save money on permits. It's cheaper to repurpose an existing structure instead of building something new. They'll likely leave a wall or something. Universal did this previously with Three Broomsticks and the Hogsmeade bathrooms. Disney did this with Mermaid in FLE.

Correct. That's what I've heard.
