Apparently.:inquisitive:

Let's be real, USF is as much a real studio as my backyard.

To be honest, replacing T23D with Transformers would be nice. But yes, in this sound stage, I would adore USF to, as jh said, live up to its name. Rides and roller coasters are marvelous things, but when it comes to walking up to a real prop or stepping inside of a scene from a beautiful recent film, learning about it, and watching the filmmaking process from the beginning, the word "exhibit" takes on a whole new name.

Not everything in a theme park should be rides. We've learned this lesson in theming with RockIt.

Yes, "boring and slightly attended".

Listen, I like the small exhibits...but you don't put one in a space like that.

If anything, rip out Lucy and make something more general. I cannot believe that attraction has survived this long.

Yes you do. And it does create excitement if done correctly (think the new WB Studio Tour) and with the best films in the business. SS44 has been vacant for years. Universal needs to redeem its Studios park to make it not just about riding the movies, but experiencing and appreciating their creation and histories.

But my opinion's been asserted. I still believe in the power of exhibitions.

We have the WB Studio Tour in the WWoHP.

Universal's tagline is "Ride the Movies". And I'm guessing that's what 99% of the guests want to do that.

A museum would work nicely in Port of Entry.

I'm not saying a WB one. I'm saying that exhibitions can be modeled after ones like that, ones that are receiving a lot of attention and can help the park's nature stay in place.

^ Agreed. Or some type of small tight walkthrough that explains the history of the Islands at the end in a small theater.

Yup, it's a "main street" kind of attraction. Don't waste valuable real estate.

Totally understand what your saying here and respect it A TON, BUT... Rollercoasters and mega attractions are what people come to see. I was just in Hollywood a few months ago and literally saw tons of original props and enjoyed myself. So did the other 11 people who signed up to do the tour. Meanwhile USH has 60 min waits for 75% of its attractions. People say they want a lot of things but once you put it in front of them they pass right by it. I would love to see a prop museum among other things but when it boils down to it, it just not going to make that turnstile spin.

That's where I said; where Lucy is. It's cute, but the amount of Lucy viewers is small.

But USF has nothing but real estate. I still stand by a well-themed and user-interactive exhibition in SS44.

Also, Hateto, the fact is that there is no shortage of rides and attractions. We can easily create new experiences because of the amount of extra space laden throughout the park. But not all of those experiences have to be roller coasters and rides, and with the attendance level rising in both parks (AND Phase II coming soon), the worry for spinning turnstiles is relatively minimal, and UC can focus on the quieter aspects of creating a well-rounded park experience.

Or completely renovate the I Love Lucy and Betty Boop store and you would probably have enough for a movie prop museum

Universal really needs a meet and greet. You know an area where King Kong, Jaws, Hulk, Harry Potter, T-Rex, and the cow from Twister can sign autographs and take pictures with your kids.

All the spaces within the park that will be, are, or can go through expansion/remodeling due to relative lack in popularity.

Most of that isn't open real estate. Most of that is space currently in use or already a construction area. So no, USF does not have tons of real estate.
