Transformers: The Ride - Summer 2013

No one will take me seriously because I've never made any exclusive finds or pictures...etc but heres my input.

I view this forum EVERYDAY. It is my favorite website to come to for this stuff and to be honest, its the only one I come to, to find out about Universal and other parks around the area. I occasionally peek at Screamscape to see if anything interesting about any other parks was announced. I think this forum is the best and have some of the best staff from the area.

I like art and am pretty good with photoshop, even took a class for it. Let me just tell you, those "leaked" images are totally fake. I could honestly make a replica of that! Here's the font that the little faker used http://www.dafont.com/transformers-movie.font and all he did was put a background up, add that font, pretty it up with some "glow" effect on the text and then just find a logo and stick it on it call it good and voila, OMG ITS TRANSFORMERS I FOUND CONCEPT ART ITS REAL! Then he sparks mass confusion and wreaks havoc upon the Orlando area like a radioactive deception ound: haha sorry I have a little bit of an imagination

Anyways, it's fake and whoever made will be in trouble big time. Universal is probably laughing at the people who thought it was real as well as the fact that everyone seems to know that its Transformers yet still uncertain! Haha how crazy

The company's logo being wrong is the huge red flag. No way that happens in a normal setting for any reason.

I'm pretty sure its fake after looking at the R logo. The real R3m1x3d "R" has a straight diagonal leg, while the one on the leaked image appears to have a slight curve. It is very hard to tell if it is truly curved or its an aliasing/resolution issue, but I'm almost sure it is a curved leg.

I'm looking forward to seeing a real comparison between the two rides, wondering which one is more intense and stuff like that.

So, if by 2015 at the latest, Uni has Potter II and Transformers, Disney is going to have to do something really amazing to get people to even bother going to WDW. I miss Tower of Terror, Big Thunder, Splash, and Haunted Mansion on Universal only trips, but I can't justify paying Disney's ridiculous prices for a one or two day hopper just to see the few worthwhile rides they have.

The only thing I don't get is the fact that the first Transformers ride opened in Singapore, yet in the video they make it seem like this ride was exclusively made for Universal Studios Hollywood.

Transformers: The Ride was initially developed for Universal Studios Hollywood and then added to Universal Studios Singapore with the decision made, probably in exchange for a good chunk being paid out by Resorts World Sentosa, to open the Singapore attraction first.

Too be fair, Photoshop is used by professionals and this could very well be what has been done. I am having trouble finding it at the moment, but the creator of Waltograph has/had a list of examples where Disney themselves have used his font.

After everything that I read, I have this odd feeling that Universal will try to dispose of sites like these so nothing gets leaked out again. But hopefully Universal and all of us can just laugh about it.

I have a feeling that might change soon though, over time Universal will start grabbing more and more guests, and WDW will spiral downward and become a retro novelty like Alligator Land or something.

Hate to burst your bubble, but WDW has a long way to go to fall below world class status. Remember it wasn't too long ago that Universal was in tatters. The right moves can change everything very quickly.

Just gonna toss this out there too... r3m1x3d is the #1 result on Google for Orlando graphic design. So using them on the document wasn't all that clever. Pretty lazy, actually.

Plenty of once great companies, kings of their respective markets, either no longer exist or in much smaller form, no longer king. It may seem like a long shot right now, but it is very much a real possibility. Walt Disney World's position at the moment makes it ripe for the destructive atmosphere and culture to be formed and ingrained.

After comparing the logos on the "fake" art, I disagree that they screwed up the logo. If they were savvy enough to be able to download the font I would believe that they have heard of "right-click, save as.."

The only difference I can see is that the one on the art work doesn't have the shadow under the block. And I would imagine that they have a "clean" version for things like this faked approval print.

Huge companies have fallen plenty of times. Often times companies that we never thought would go down, but usually it takes one huge event for that to happen and set the ball rolling, and that hasn't happened yet with Disney. Or there has to be enough of a new product that comes along that just makes it obsolete. People don't usually say "We're going to Orlando" or "We're going to Universal Studios" most of the time they say they're going to Disneyworld. As someone who massively prefers Universal to Disney I wish that were different, but it's not. And it wouldn't hurt my feelings if that changed at all. Maybe one day, but it'll take a lot longer than the time it takes to build a few new attractions. You have to overcome a generation of people believing that Disney is not only the best option, but in essence the only option.

As a side note, I'm a moderator on an Alabama football board, and I find it interesting to see how the dichotomy changes from one subject to the other. Here, you have to worry about news being scooped and pulled to another site, and while that happens on the football side of things, the bigger issue is trolls coming in doing everything they can to disrupt and I just haven't seen that here. So good on y'all for that. Just an observation from someone who loves people watching.
