^ It didn't rain here today... so the building is probably near completion. All they need to to now is tape down some tracks and hang a few king sized sheets.

I will always protest Transformers being right next door to Spidey. I thought it only made sense to have it at resorts where there is no Spidey.

UOR/USJ: Spider-Man
USS/USH: Transformers

If the attraction was animatronics and fully realized sets then sure but the same exact ride with even similar programming in its movement minus the ride film is just...giant facepalm for life.

Yes, and Uni is not Disney where they have to make tons of similar rides due to their four theme parks. People probably say why go on Small World when you can go on Pirates, and why waste a day at AK for Dinosaur when I could enjoy myself with Indiana Jones at DHS. Disney does this with different theming, but it would be so much better if they made every ride system unique in at least in MK and Epcot.

Also, the Disney Parks are not as close as the Uni parks, and do people really want to do the same darn ride at both parks? Probably not! I don't care if they have different themes, it's the same stinkin ride. It's like taking a page out of the Disney play book, but having pizza stains and the smell of rotten eggs in it!

I'm sorry but I can't see a TF replica coming to USF no matter how true the rumors are. It's not the right call! At least take your time, and make it more unique than the other rides in Hollywood and Singapore.

I will never understand how some people don't want something similar to one of the greatest theme park attractions in the world. Watch a video. I guarantee you it won't seem like the same ride. TF seems faster paced, and there are some different effects. Especially noticeable is the much more effective version of the roof collapse.

A great ride is a great ride regardless of the vehicle/system of delivery. Never liked the motion of JN (chicken dance, really?) but DM:MM is absolutely amazing. Will you not ride Gringrotts because Mummy is down the street? Of course not

Who needs sets and AAs when the animation and projection is so flawless? For Spider-Man and seemingly, Transformers you have two incredible experiences that could NEVER be done with AA's and 100% physical sets.

When I first rode Spidey, I thought we were actually free falling. I've never been so tricked by an attraction. Can't wait to see the new animation.

These x100000.

The ride is a great ride. I don't give a carp about how much it is/isn't similar to Spidey. Hell, I wouldn't care if they put Transformers in the same park as Spidey. A 100 million dollar E-ticket is a 100 million dollar E-ticket. The more the merrier, especially in the other park that doesn't have the ride system.

As so today and granted I have not ridden RSR's. Disney still hasn't touched the level of Spiderman so if Universal wants to build an upgraded version of it in our back yard I'm very much cool with that. Pretty funny Universal COULD have the top 5 darkrides in the US within 2 years.

I just don't get why people argue over ride types, who actually cares? The average tourist isn't going to notice, hell if they actually thought about the ride systems I am pretty sure it would come down to 1) Shows, 2) Rollercoasters, 3) Motion Simulators. As long as the ride is fun and enjoyable then why the hell not, I couldn't and I am sure I speak for a lot of people by saying who actually cares.

To also add, I would say the majority of tourists would do Ioa and Uor on separate days of their holiday. So it's like comparing shrek 4d and it's tough to be a bug.

It is truly insane to think about. Once TF was becoming more and more confirmed I joked that Universal should start calling itself the Dark Ride Capital of the World.

MIB is the best ride in it's class, Transformers and Spidey are like nothing else, Forbidden Journey is revolutionary, and Gringotts will be as well.

It's crazy how under-rated Universal is in comparison to how hyped Disney is.

I agree with this completely, but to play devil's advocate (and not counting USH, since quality rides only started going in there after USF was planning/opened), Disney had very nearly a 40 year head start and a few generations that grew up with Disney as THE theme park brand. It's going to take a lot more to over come that.

I am on Team Who Cares, but I understand why Spidey/Transformers is a special case. At the time, Spidey's tech was so unique and they were so proud of it. Imagine Disney using ToT's tech in Epcot. I can see how some might think it diminishes Spidey's value.

But on Scoop/EVAC attractions, riders are so distracted by what's happening on-screen and around them, the vehicle is nearly ignored. Uni hit such a home run with the Scoop/EVAC vehicle, they deserve to milk it for all its worth.

Matters not one bit to me if its the same.
And best dark ride, for me personaly, will always be the Haunted Mansion.
