I just hope the show is “Abbott and Costello Meet The Monsters.”

My fav Universal Monsters movie, and perhaps the best of the bunch. A perfect blend of monsters and lighthearted comedy.

I think if the ride area were to follow the general feel of the Mummy, Kong or Knockturn Alley (as they relate to their own source material) it'll be spot on. Universal can definitely nail the spooky/creepy atmosphere without being downright "scary".

Which was always Universal’s best wheel-house. Kongfrontation and Jaws were serious, accessible, and a little bit silly while playing the subject matter entirely straight.

This makes me excited for that rumored Creature From The Black Lagoon expansion.

These are all great tonal comparisons.

Find that in between of light Horror Nights elements, and Beetlejuice show, not an easy task but I trust them to find the balance. Mummy is the PERFECT example imo.

If we are going into Frankie’s manor, with his granddaughter leading our tour, maybe she somehow re-awakens the monsters, and througout the queue we begin to realize more monsters are let loose than just Frankenstein, and we get one scene where they’re all behind a cage (actors or AAs), trying to break free before they put us on a ride vehicle to escape? Feels like this can bring some silliness with a little thrill and scare with the Monsters showing up in the queue.

I guess some of this comes down to the question of exactly what the story of the land is. It is supposed to be as if we're walking into the same town(s) from the classic movies... only now in the 2020s? Or are the movies just being used as general inspiration?

I think the original rumor was it is indeed present day as if the area was real life, and Frankenstein’s Granddaughter now owns the residence and manages it, and the land is themed to Frankenstein’s Village. I think that’s all we really know story wise

Honestly, it would make a lot of sense if the story behind “Frankenstein’s Village” is that the community is using tourism related to “The Frankenstein Incident” to bolster its economy, in a fashion similar to real life Transylvania.

That would explain and justify the more “touristy” aspects of it, like “The Stake House” and gift shops.

In the movies, especially the 1940s ones, the townsfolk hate the connection, though. They're angry that strangers keep coming into town and asking about what happened... because it inevitably leads to the Frankenstein Monster being resurrected again.

That doesn't mean what you describe can't be or shouldn't be the approach, however.

From what I remember the land is based on Frankenstein's (great?) Granddaughter doing some experiment

Monsters will be the perfect land for the afternoon thunderstorms during the summer in FL. I definitely want it to lean toward the scary side, but there's a balance that can be struck.

So maybe that's how the other Monsters get involved--they're the ones being experimented on?

Actually are we sure the village isn't Visaria and actually Frankenstein village? .

Going into location....

Actually are we sure the village isn't Visaria and actually Frankenstein village? .
The first three movies take place in Frankenstein village and at the end of the third, Baron Frankenstein give ownership of the house to the villagers.
Then you go to Visaria for the fourth movie in which Ludwig Frankenstein tries to bring back the creature and dies. Then somehow in a movie with no Frankenstein family members House of Frankenstein, an escaped doctor tries to bring back the monster for evil reasons at castle Frankenstein. But then in the final series film, the monster was in Visaria.

Also, if the land is trying to be Cannon,
I don't think it would be Frankenstein's great granddaugter as the Frankensteins no longer owned the castle.
Henry Frankenstein (Original doctor) who son is Baron Wolf Van Frankenstein brought the monster back who kidnapped his son, Peter Von Frankenstein which caused Baron Wolf to give the keys to the villagers to the castle because of all the destruction the family caused the town over time.

Henry had another son Ludwig, whose daughter Elsa almost got kidnapped by didn't but Elsa hated that her father Ludwig did experiments but that one took place in Visaria.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As for the ride,

The story for the ride sounds more like the plot for House of Frankenstein and House of Dracula in which someone brings all the monsters together to exact revenge on those who they felt wronged them. In House of Frankenstein, Dracula and Wolf Man are trying to get cured of their monsterness and go back to being human and they happened to find the monsters body and revives him.

The continuity of the extended Frankenstein family in that original series is too hard to keep straight.

If the land was going to be set "in period," and if they wanted a female descendant, they could have used Baroness Elsa Frankenstein and placed the land generally in the FRANKENSTEIN MEETS THE WOLF MAN era, only expanded and heightened to accommodate more of the Monsters.

But since it appears the land is set in modern day, it would probably be wise to be as vague as possible with the lineage, and probably only directly reference Baron Henry Frankenstein himself as the ancestor of whatever new character is in charge of the castle (and... which castle?).

we were talking about stake not steak so it was suggested the house drink would be bloody.

I think the exterior part of this land will be family friendly.
Due to the type of ride vehicle used the ride part could be focused on older riders by illuminating the smaller and younger guests where it will get more spooky, probably in a Haunted Mansion way but with a bit more edge.
So sure, the Stake House Grill or the Roasted Garlic Cafe could have pressent there.

If SNW food options are coming over, which I doubt all are, I’d be thrilled. I’m hoping the food in this park (particularly inside the lands, but of course Hub restaurants too) are a step up from all other parks in Orlando
