I’m not sure what there is to be concerned about. Big budget e-ticket, and a (hopefully) themed family coaster, large dedicated area for expansion. The overall theming of the shops and restaurants should be impressive too.

I'm definitely most concerned for Monsters Land now.....should I be?

I have deep reservations about how the presence of a (possibly) lightly-themed coaster is going to impact the overall aesthetics of the land, but I'm reserving judgment until we know more about how the coaster is going to be situated -- visually -- in the area and how much theme work is going to be built into the attraction.

I've made no secret that I would have preferred a show or an indoor coaster (where you can fully control the environment both on the ride and in the land), though.

I think when people use the word “concerned,” we’re talking relative purely to the world of theme parks.

Nobody here's wandering around the real world getting tied into knots over any of this. At least I hope not!

I'm much more "worried" about the huge un-themed box next to the mansion. It will be Hogwarts all over again but worse.
The tiny coaster could be so limiting they need to do a "Pteranodon Flyers"; only ride this with a kid.

I highly, highly doubt that ever happens again. This is a family coaster that can run two trains. It's good enough.

Again, I reserve judgment, but the recent aerials of the Monsters construction site do make me wonder exactly how they'd even attempt to hide that building from the coaster, which would appear to be tall enough in areas that the building should be clearly visible from it... at this point.

From ground level, I think it will be more hidden than Forbidden Journey's showbuilding. It better be, anyway!

Some planting like Hagrid and some rockwork should help it to "sink into" the land, It's not *that* hard to disguise...

It's not like it's a B&M Giga...unfortunately

I was just about to say how their seems to be a huge space in the middle of the coaster with nothing there. if they can do like flying unicorn/hipogriff they will be fine. You barely notice the coaster is there as it blends in with the foliage and its off in the corner.

Agreed on FJ...I literally can't ride it anymore and yet I can still ride coasters multiple times in a row

With the Kuka system, unlike others, their potential to make you sick is amplified, add in some motion simulator sickness and it's even worse

Same here. When I first went on FJ years ago I had a blast on it. But then I went on it last year and I felt sick coming off the ride and it really messed up the rest of my day cause I had to take it easy. Not just the screens but also the intensity of the kuka arm movements really got to me like when the bench throws you on your back.

I'm thinking no more FJ for me when I go to the parks which bums me out. Meanwhile I can tolerate rides like Cosmic Rewind fine enough.

I hope the people who love FJ love the e-ticket monsters ride, but for me I think it's an automatic pass due to being another kuka arm.

Dramamine is your friend. I used to be able to ride everything and anything with no problems. Then I noticed flying coasters bothered me, then airtime coasters. Then simulators. Now I don't even think of going to the parks without taking it, and I don't have problems anymore.

Standard, consult your doctor before taking, don't take Dramamine if you are allergic to Dramamine, if you are pregnant, trying to get pregnant, or know someone who has ever been pregnant disclaimer. It obviously won't work for everyone, but it's worth a shot.

I believe that middle area is the queue. I stand ready to be corrected if that's wrong.

It's also not going to be "off in the corner," as it appears pathways will exist under it.

Going to need some tall trees.

It appears like the second launch (I think that's what it is) on the Monsters coaster will be enclosed in some sort of structure, so that's already a decent amount of theming. The rest will probably be trees and rocks though.

I mean, the coaster track will be visible inevitably

Some of us think that's a bad thing, and some of us think that's a just fine thing

However, a berm, some rockwork, and evergreens go a long way

I’m wondering if the story for the coaster is going to be something like “you go explore an abandoned building just outside of the village where you encounter Wolfman who chases you through the woods”. That’s simple enough for a coaster and justifies covering it with loss of trees and rocks.

This made me remember Hippogriff has an animatronic. I wonder if we’ll get a Wolfman animatronic as part of the story.

If that’s the story then there’s even a possibility for two, once before the initial launch and again in the second scene.
