Thanks for posting that BJ. I wonder if they planned to fill that in before the dewatering or if they did it because it reportedly stunk. The dewatering system is in place in that video.

Requires a long answer, but in short, it doesn't fit WWoHP at all or the First Task. I'm amazed that Uni got away with just redoing the queue. Would have been better if themed to a Quidditch match.

With all the money being thrown around, it is somewhat surprising that we're not seeing enhancements to the original WWOHP.

Can we petition Comcast to fund this?

You know as amazing as it would be it would require a 100 million dollar refurbishment and a closure of two signature attractions for 18-24 months. Never gonna happen. Not saying I don't want it as I do but let's leave that for Universal's newest land, Middle Earth.

Not saying I expected it to happen at all. Just that it would be the dream of the land's true potential.

Rode both Dragons today in the front row. That swamp smells terrible. Cool view of all the area they are clearing below too.

WAY more than that. It'd be more rockwork than Cars Land

Come on Skip your acting like WDI would be building this. I know it was a conservative estimate though.

Rockwork is still insanely expensive. Anything that has to be done by hand doesn't come cheap.

Okay, it doesn't need to become freaking Everest.

But theming the coaster supports, getting rid of the nasty ponds, putting some small ruins/props below the coaster, painting the coaster tracks better colors, giving the cars better (less cartoony) skins, adding speakers and music from the dragon scene from GOF, replacing the weird green sound barrier behind the coaster with a sound barrier themed to Scottish mountains and extending it along the side with USF so riders don't see backstage areas, and most importantly come up with a better queue than barren caves would be acceptable.

I agree with you BJC as all of these sound wonderful! Especially the painting of track and updated ride vehicles.

It's publicly released material anyone and their brother can view. Uni realizes this and isn't about to put something that they don't want non-employees to know in it.

By now, though, all they are doing is making themselves appear incredibly paranoid.

I didn't know the stuff they posted there was publicly available. I just dont understand why you would choose to say "The Wizarding World is expanding in Orlando" and then start a HUGE project without at least saying it's HP related.

People's vacations. People won't delay vacations when there is a nebulous "we're going to expand". They will delay when you say, "We're opening the expansion on ______"

They don't want people who are planning on coming next summer to hear Potter is coming later and postpone their trip. They would much rather them find out when asking a CM what is that they are building over there? More potter, eh? Well then we will just have to come back!

I would love to see them theme DC better, but I would rather have them Duel instead. With a stricter enforcement of safety, I think we can see thing duel again. I HOPE SO!

I think queue enhancements got to be on someones list. It's the only area in the current Wizarding World that I walk through and don't go "Wow" the entire time. I would hate for the entire expansion to open and this not be addressed in some way. I would also love a practical way for the dueling element to return SAFELY! Without a physical barrier between the two, I don't know that there is a practical way to. Everyone turn your pockets out!

Combined with added rockwork to the sides of Hogwarts, of course!
