Combined with added rockwork to the sides of Hogwarts, of course!

I couldn't agree more. I scowl when I walk through JP and see FJ's show building.

More than likely retention ponds. There will be much more impervious ground area than there was previously with the lagoon, thus the need for the ponds.

I believe he was either referring to the pits in SS44 or the pits where the Gringott's building is going. The aerials were mixed together and posted in both threads.

Orlando Rocks has posted a small update regarding the London waterfront.

It's been months, and I still think that barricade system holding back the lagoon is so cool.

Thanks to JungleSkip who showed us the water-side of the wall in London we know about the bronze lion's-head boat moorings that are coming. Just think, those are sitting on a shelf at Nassal right now waiting to be trucked over. Next person to visit and has the gumption should yell over to the workers and ask, "when are the lion's-heads coming?!"

^ And add to that, "Yeah, we saw the pictures of them in your construction shop on the internet! Great work!". Do it for Disneyhead.

A little confused...will the new pieces they added at the bottom of the wall not be underwater?

Haha, I'm beginning to feel like the Devil's advocate here. Well, we'll see. So you know, I am very serious about this. It wouldn't be the first time that I started yammering at a TM or a construction worker in the park.

From my eye (that saw the curve in the wall a few years before anyone else) the water will be splashing right at the lower cornice-work. Perfect Thames high tide level. Call me cocky.

Any ideas on when the London waterfront area will be opening? I can't wait to walk along there and watch UCS at night

No one knows when it will be opening... not even the head of Universal Creative knows. They only know when they hope to have it opened. And that is one date I haven't investigated as I don't really care to know.

I don't see why they can't/won't have it done by the end of this year or sooner. But that all depends on if the 2 interior areas are planters or ponds.

Why do you think that it depends? Ponds, plants, space aliens... what is the difference?

Building the pond infrastructure would surely take longer than a planter.

Teebin asked the other day who owns/filed for the Forbidden Journey trademark, etc. It was filed for and is owned by Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. in July 2009. A few months ago, I posted one for The Leaky Cauldron, but that's all I was able to find. If we go by the timeline of Phase 1, we won't see anything of substance registered until July 2014.

Leaky's page:
