Allllllllll aboard!

The latest edition of UO Team's newsletter Universal News includes the following regarding "Utility, Infrastructure Upgrades to Affect Backstage Traffic Flow".

iCLGCNjbgvHUo.png

Beginning Monday, August 20, backstage traffic routes will change as our teams conduct infrastructure upgrades and utility maintenance along Perimeter Road.
As indicated in the map above, certain sections of Perimeter Road will be closed – and vehicle traffic will be rerouted – between B-114 and B-111; however, pedestrians will be able to use sidewalks and designated walkways to traverse all work zones (indicated on the map in pink).

As you can see, the area marked for said "Work Zone" goes along the path the Hogwarts Express will take. I suppose we'll see construction for the beginnings of the HE track to be in full swing by a week from tomorrow.

So I went by Nassal this morning (7:50am), and noticed 2 things. First is all, the place was rocking full steam ahead before 8a on a Sunday. Second, they have that place buttoned up tighter than a gnat's ____.

On a side note, I had a Nassal employ get really aggressive with me as he tried to tell me that I had to leave the Orlando City owned sidewalk I was standing on. I decided the most prudent course of action was to just leave, because this guy was in no mood for me to try and explain the applicable laws to him. That just seemed to make him angrier. So a SUGGESTION to anyone else who would like to try and get photos, STAY ON CITY PROPERTY! They legally can't do anything to you IF you stay on the sidewalk. But since the place is buttoned up tight, and I wasn't getting anything anyway it didn't seem worth it to throw down this early on a Sun. Morning.

^ Yessuh Dragon! I was up at 6AM eastern today and watched every run of it. What a spectacular marathon London put on today... it was like a travel video times 5! Congrats GB! BTW, what was that leadsten(sp) market interior building they ran through? I had never seen that before.

Did you kinda sorta maybe step on their lawn a bit? Was he a project manager type or a sculptor/glue gun type? In what way is the place buttoned up? Have they put higher thicker screening on their side street work areas?

I made sure to not even get one toe off of the sidewalk. And I don't have a clue what the Neanderthal I encountered does other than drive a fork lift.

And as far as buttoned up, they have done a great job of covering any gaps in the screening around gates and stuff, and they have taken it up to about 10 feet.

Well gosh, makes me wanna go up there just to antagonize them. Sounds like a good way to get a punch in the face and a lawsuit for a hefty sum.

I actually considered that. When I encounter this guy I was actually just walking down the sidewalk on the Nassal side of the road with a camera in my hand. I wasn't even facing the fence. Being a news photographer I have to deal with arguing my rights as to where I can be and what I can and can't take pictures of on a daily basis. I did nothing illegal. Irritating? Probably. Illegal? No.

I wasn't going to put this up but since its up I do find it interesting that they still label Amity a future expansion at the rate they're moving. Potter is expanding in Orlando. You said it yourselves. What's this huge project over here? Oh a "future expansion". I really don't think they wanted to announce that at the end of last year.

It was a good route yes, managed to take in a lot of landmarks and interesting places - much better than the regular annual marathon route. The market is Leadenhall - it's really a beautiful building! You pretty much saw all there is to it, it's just a little cross shape with a few shops and restaurants in it but it is an ornate setting for the few places that are in there. For those who weren't watching:

Neither do I, strangely. I would think it must have been fairly heavily disguised, because its pretty distinctive. I prefer the flying death eater sequence in Half Blood Prince over Trafalgar Square etc, that's a great scene!

It's publicly released material anyone and their brother can view. Uni realizes this and isn't about to put something that they don't want non-employees to know in it.

By now, though, all they are doing is making themselves appear incredibly paranoid.

I was made aware of it a few days ago, but 1) I had just criticized another site of stealing from the Disney Cast Portal 2) I don't want Uni password protecting that site, so I don't call attention to it. 3) it doesn't really tell us anything we don't know.

Eta: you're right though that it is fair game.

They should wait to announce this when it best benefits their business as much as I want concept art.

But did the other site say it was from the Employee site, or try to pass it off as their own?

Attractions Magazine has finally posted a POV of Dragon Challenge using their eyeglass camera. What this brings is a new view of the South station of HE work being done next to Sinbad and a newly filled pond under the coasters.

For as much of a hardass JKR is painted is being, I'm amazed that Dragon Challenge is a thing.
