Haha, wow. Brand new ride, and nobody is talking about it anymore.

Fail.

I went on Thursday and didn't end up waiting. The attraction had a 50 minute wait and from what people told me about it being underwhelming I figured it was skippable.

I was thinking that they should have made one of those rooms like a projection tunnel, like the king kong part in the studio tour. I feel like it would have worked well while the baby penguin is being chased by the seal. just sayin :)

Rode it for the first time this Saturday. With the way the ride was being critiqued, I was anticipating a lackluster ride experience. The story is obviously heavy kid friendly, and not hard to follow as so many people complain about. The ride system is pretty cool. While overall the ride was short and the ride system underutilized, it wasn't nearly as horrible as so many of you guys portray it to be. As an adult, I wasn't blown away; but for the many kids riding it, it seemed to be a big hit. And obviously the post ride penguin exhibit is one of the greatest animal enclosures I've ever experienced. The nets did hinder a little, but if they do come down as SeaWorld says, then I'm even more excited to experience it again. Many people are skipping this just based on the negative reviews, and I feel that's a poor decision. While Antarctica's ride portion did disappoint a little, overall I enjoyed the attraction and will be riding again.

I think it got overhyped into like E-ticket type expectations, and it just isn't. Although I think they could have made it into a much cooler ride (not literally temperature cooler, as it's already freezing in there, lol, but you know what I mean), given the amount of money spent and the ride system, it could have been something better.

I don't think we are skipping it, I think we are waiting for the crowds to die down because it is not worth the wait right now. Or that is at least what I am doing.

My only major complaint is the CGI penguins. Seriously? You couldn't get real footage?

If that's your only major complaint then your review is beyond generous.

I would still go, its really a nice park and has a lot to offer besides Antarctica especially if you enjoy zoos/marine life parks/aquariums . Besides, Manta is a heck of a ride and alone worth the stop for me

Ive been many times, but the only real draw for me now is Manta, don't know if I can justify a days admission to ride Manta, as much as I love the ride.

Will look out for some cheap tickets when Im over there.

Gotcha, so since you have been there you know what its all about. I would pass and save the money if it was me since you have been, unless you really want to see what this new ride is all about.

I couldn't give a hoot about Antarctica but Manta is my fave coaster anywhere, that pretzel loop on the back row is something else. Might get the seaworld & busch AP next trip.
