I am frantically angry that they should be so lax. Ugh!

Universal should just can the project altogether and spend the money elsewhere if they're going to use a crap ride system. It sounds like it doesn't fit the new Universal standard.

I'm grateful this isn't greenlit. The details here just reek of a cheesy attraction that would quickly be the laughing stock of the park. On to better things!

Isn't greenlit? ISN'T GREENLIT? It is Goblet of Fire greenlit. It is being engineered and reengineered and developed right now. Even Conan has a place holder in it.

I'm not worried at all, universal knows what they're doing and even if this bombs, so what? Universal has such a good streak right now that one tiny bomb (that'll probably open alongside something like F&F) wouldn't effect them. Also it's replacing garbage to begin with so whatever. Give it sometime everybody, it'll probably be fixed in due time anyways

Oh in that case CRAP! I took your post earlier to mean it had been filed away under 'STINKER'. I get the NBC synergy they're cramming in everywhere, but Fallon does not need a friggin ride.

It shouldn't be.

Sorry I got so dramatic.. but I am so very disappointed. Terribly so.

Historic anecdote. About a month and a half ago I asked if everyone on the team is excited about it and the response was "no, most seem to be bored". I was perplexed as to why at the time.

Now I know why.

I honestly hope Universal finds something to replace Twister eventually. While I love me some old school USF, Twister is just one of the few older attractions that I never enjoyed or cared for.

Outside the changes to the facades outside, I've never really understood the appeal of this one anyway. At this point I'm just assuming it'll be a nice C/D ticket on the way to bigger and better things, ala Despicable Me

You horrid man. I used that attraction to describe what I "heard about" in reference to the ride system.

Can't expect every ride to be a gamechanger. And let's be honest, no matter how cruddy the ride comes out, Jimmy Fallon will draw a crowd and people will love it. And really, when has Universal ever made a *bad* ride? Yeah, some have aged really badly but I'm sure it'll come out fine. With less big rides, the park can be more well-rounded.

To be clear, I never expected a game changer but I did expect it to be a game player. It isn't even that. Comcast has approved a terrible amateur 1980's theme park attraction. There, let google and bing suck that up.

Let me guess, they are going to use a Despicable Me ride system?

They are really trying to shoehorn in "the face of NBC."

Reading between the lines of what Teebin has recently posted about this, this project sounds incredibly underwhelming. How could Universal possibly think of utilizing something along the lines of Despicable Me when they're basically right next to each other in the park? That would be a waste; Despicable Me's a fine attraction for what it is, but the park doesn't need two of them, much less on the same street, and MUCH LESS starring Jimmy Fallon and NBC's Parade of Network Stars, or whatever the heck it's supposed to be. Granted, I was never probably going to have any interest in a Fallon/NBC attraction in the first place, but this (if true... or even partially true) adds insult to injury.

I'd be perfectly happy if Twister stuck around a few more years, honestly. It's a large-scale physical/practical experience that is unlike anything else in the park, and acts as a nice change of pace from the E-ticket thrill experiences. Plus... Paxton.
