At Universal that's called an e-stop.

Yes! Now put skubersky's guess (singular) together with that word, and understand why I am confused. It has been pointed out to me that muppets and philharmagic have such buttons. Does the Ellen show have such a button? Maybe if the soundstage is burning down?

a 4D theater? In other words Soarin, with stationary seats capable of movement and adjustment? Turtle Trek with seats?

or The Tonight Show. I cannot reconcile the two words together and come to an absolute conclusion. Short of the project number, you now know all that I know, if you can follow my messy presentation of saying nothing.

Sounds like a Shrek style ride, where each seat is capable of motion?

Or could the whole theater be a motion simulator? Like Star Tours but on a grander scale?

Based on what you are saying this could be the case, each seat is capable of motion with a button that can stop that motion. I remember being on at least one "ride" (maybe it is Shrek) that had this, but motion was a limited amount of motion mostly limited to jostling which could be stopped with your E-Stop button.

Who or what site was it that dropped the hint that it would be a flying simulator? Anyone recall?

Yes it does. Both control panels, one before and one after the dinosaurs have an E-stop.

I thought it was here. Earlier in this thread? I'm not 100 percent sure.

Whylightbulb over at WDWMagic dropped that hint. He's got a great track record with Uni as he appears to be one of their core contractors/on staff.

I was told the ride system pre-fabrication is a bit behind so they are keeping it open until closer to when the ride system will be ready.

I believe that when everything is ready this will be another impressively quick build out.

i wonder if Nassal has one of these hidden somewhere?

No, I recall that post. However, that post gives me pause as while it might be partly true, it isn't completely accurate. This theme park attraction construction stuff, contractors and sub contractors and vendors and programmers baffles me at times. I am never sure who the lead is on any of it.

That would allow for more than one use in the space. I wonder how many seats they could fit, 500, 700?

To sum up:

1. The attraction has to occupy a small footprint.
2. There is some sort of movement in the attraction.
3. It was originally reported as being 'very New York'
4. There may be screens with some sort of motion based seating.
5. Jimmy Fallon may be involved.

You guys, we are totally getting this:

An IMAX/Dbox set-up is more similar to Shrek than Despicable Me

Shrek seats don't move that much do they? I only saw it once and found it lacking.
