Since we know this attraction has returned this thread needed a name change.

Post in the thread to discuss about the attraction past or present and post when it is open since it is a seasonal attraction.

Well, Neutron is usually open more often than Trike on Peak Days, so I was just noting that it wasn't open either on this Memorial Weekend.

(and Neutron is opening up on Peak Days until August 18th, in case you didn't know)

Trike wasn't open yesterday, but there was something interesting going on. They had cleared a large area of the forest, enough so that you can see through to the buildings. It seemed as if they were planning to or already had moved something large in or out of the attraction area.

Yeah, we were there on Friday and there was no Triceratops. :( MantaGuy, I did look through the woods and saw exactly what you've posted a pic of and I wondered what was going on. Trouble is, I've never seen the TE, so I have no frame of reference as to what it used to look like there.

As we walked out of the Discovery Center (lunch), I asked the first vendor selling bottles of water.... "Could you tell me were the Triceratops Encounter is?". She looked at me like I was stupid and replied "Erm, Sir, I think that's a childrens ride." I thanked her for her time, walked away and found the blanked-over stone at the entrance to the Encounter just 5 feet from where she was standing.

Will be back later this week so hopefully up and running then.

I think I just found a reason as to why they are clearing that land in the post with the pictures:

From Screamscape:

I’m not sure what the deal is, but according to some pictures posted to Orlando Parks News, there is some work taking place in the old Triceratops Encounter queue area. Not sure what it’s for, as they don’t seem to ever reopen the attraction long enough to make it worth performing any kind of queue modification, unless they are planning on something else coming in here. Anyone know more?
