I think superfans tend to overestimate the importance of things like the HHN twitter account tbh. Mickey's Not So Scary starts
today and
@WaltDisneyWorld hasn't tweeted about it at all in the past two months & @DisneyParks this month has only posted a "Foodie Guide" to the event and
this vague tweet that doesn't even mention the event.
Getting press in Rolling Stone, EW, etc. with The Weeknd drop is huge advance promo for them. We already have all of the big draws announced and the commercial doesn't tend to drop until August 20th or later. Last year's big "original houses" drop was 8/12 so we're still running pretty close to the usual schedule. Normal guests don't care about the storylines and don't tend to plan ahead for food & beverage for the event. The crazies like us who do care are going to attend regardless
