Alternatively, there are 16 business days until opening night or, 16 days from now would be one week until the event. Hopefully we don’t have to wait quite that long

These just look bad. Compared to Beetlejuice and TCM food booths last year, these look like something at a local haunt or images Spirit would sell to hang in your windows.

The good news is it's just a food booth, so who cares? :look:

They look bad.
But in a way. There's a homemade charm to them.
I kinda like it

Exactly. Their tweets are such [crap]posting that you can read pretty much whatever you want into them.

With less than a month to go, they should really be providing more details of the event regarding storylines, food & beverage, etc. If you weren't following HHN, you wouldn't even know it was about to start in 3 weeks... but maybe that's what they want?

Also, not sure how valid this is, but just throwing it out there just in case:

Prices are subject to change at any moment...but I've never seen that happen with the admission type tickets. Express it absolutely happens with.

I've been proven wrong more than once, but I don't think it will happen. If I get burned, I get burned.

I wasn't able to attend last year - but from walkthroughs and different reviews/videos I watched, it didn't look like it would have been my favorite year. It was for the hardcore fans - which is great, but for someone like me, I would have been very lost. (I've been going since 2016)

I think superfans tend to overestimate the importance of things like the HHN twitter account tbh. Mickey's Not So Scary starts today and @WaltDisneyWorld hasn't tweeted about it at all in the past two months & @DisneyParks this month has only posted a "Foodie Guide" to the event and this vague tweet that doesn't even mention the event.

Getting press in Rolling Stone, EW, etc. with The Weeknd drop is huge advance promo for them. We already have all of the big draws announced and the commercial doesn't tend to drop until August 20th or later. Last year's big "original houses" drop was 8/12 so we're still running pretty close to the usual schedule. Normal guests don't care about the storylines and don't tend to plan ahead for food & beverage for the event. The crazies like us who do care are going to attend regardless

Even as someone who has attended every year since 2009, it was nowhere near my favorite year FWIW hah.

TBF, The Mouse barely cares about Not So Scary any more, and it's 99% the same event every single year, so people know what to expect.

they change up the show or the fireworks but it's candy and characters. They know all they need to do is post the dates and it's already sold out on some nights

Looks like they announced the Christmas dates and lineup this morning, but still no official HHN house announcements. (Edit I'm behind, that was yesterday morning)

I wonder if Lil Boo is going to be a walk around character this year in the Production Central zone?

They've done Jack-O-Lantern head characters before

If you cast someone less than 5'9" and put them on a platform it would be perfect

Sorry but couldn’t help but laugh at this. Imagining Lol’ Boo walking around with his expressionless face. I like Lol’ boo but keep him as what he is. Not everything should be a scareactor.

Not talking just about Twitter, but the event as a whole. I never understood why they don't roll out announcements June-August periodically. (HHN announcements shouldn't start earlier than May)

No. Not even close. The catering to hardcore fans is a thing of the past, with a few minor exceptions

That's because the mouse already has their non-refundable money. They don't need to acknowledge anything further.

I mean, I'd love a more spread out & creative/interesting roll out, but I just don't expect it at this point. They'll never cut into their other events by announcing HHN early and waiting until closer to the event keeps it fresh in everyone's mind.

I don't see how HHN is much different at this point with the empire they've built around Halloween  They threw out their big guns (The Weeknd, Blumhouse, Halloween), drew in the mainstream crowd (or lost them depending on their feelings towards the IPs), and can now watch the money roll in. I don't think the Bugs house is the decision maker for anyone hah. The die-hards get their early merch, have the tribute store coming, will watch the construction like hawks, etc. Everyone else will just show up when it's time, as is tradition.

I'm starting to think that Lil' Boo might be the medallion at the arch for this year.

Although I would love one with the general Halloween design that they're using for a lot of merch.
