Did I hit the wrong circle? I only voted to skew the numbers anyway. :sneaky:

I hope it's either Transformers or King Kong. It's either of those two but for some reason I think it's more likely Transformers.

Actually, Marvel and DC may be the only way an entirely new park could work. Have a Marvel vs. DC Universe park. With all the fictional areas of each universe that can be represented. Have a Los Angeles style area for Iron Man, and the other Avengers, have the east coast area Spidey and the X-Men, I'm not as familiar with the DC Universe, but you could do the same with them, and have a line of demarcation between the two universes with a massive central attraction with all the Marvel Heroes joining forces with the DC heroes to take out the respective enemies. Just some pie in the sky thinking there, obviously since Disney now has some veto power over Marvel stuff.

Scratch that, rewrite and install the above 21 crowd. You know as well as I do most of Epcot is zero fun unless you can get hammered around the world. Or at least buzzed.

As someone who doesn't drink, they explains perfectly why I find EPCOT so boring.

But I would be beyond thrilled if Universal built a Batman ride, Universal Creative are the only ones who could create a proper Batman ride. Potter and Batman at the same resort would be my idea of perfection. Only way i could get better would be to add Star Trek and Doctor Who.

Hey guys look what I found, seems legit.

4lt03.jpg

Jeesh, Is that all it takes to get some of you all riled up? How about some deductive reasoning.

1. Marvel Is right next door, neither company would allow this too happen.
2. Six flags own the rights to DC characters for their parks only, hence why you only see DC themed attractions at Six flags parks. Although Warner brothers own parks have the rights too, but that's understandable.
3. A whole new ride movie would have to be made, costing millions more. Not to mention set design, ride layout, score, graphics, ride queue videos.. you get the idea.
4. With Transformers, they have all that already, they have the plans, they have the movie, they have everything. All that it is costing Universal Is the construction, that's pretty much it.

So you see, with Transformers, It just makes sense. You've got a defunct Soundstage that hasn't been used for anything extensive In years so you have to remember we're not losing anything to make way for this attraction.

The reason I know they're adding this in is because -

1. It's proven.
2. Relatively cheap install from their perspective at least.
3. Most of all It's to take the heat off Potter when that arrives a year later. They've seen what happened with IOA (Intense crowds) and decided with "Phase 2" for the studios, they need to draw away from Potter when It finally comes. Which i know sounds ridiculous but it's true.

20th century and Universal were involved with the Backdoor TV pilot of the 1996 TV movie "doctor who".. executive produced by Steven Spielberg.

Yes six flags have the rights to use DC in the states which their parks are located. So Universal could still go for the rights to DC.

ha ha at this thread. It's not Batman.

Anyway regarding voting, I voted for Kong because that's what I WANT in the park. I realize that it's a 98% chance for Transformers, which leaves me less then thrilled. Mainly because the ride seems to similar to Spiderman, and I really hated those Transformers movies..even more so then those Mummy movies.

I don't think we're disputing how legit the picture is, I tink we're saying that it could be something other than Transformers. Even if it is the same ride structure.

Agreed. The ROI of this attraction will be fantastic...they would be very unwise not to put it in. As for the Bat, well I can see maybe the DC comics replacing Marvel and the Looney Tunes replacing Toon Lagoon eventually, Time will tell though.

First post in awhile, will be at uni in a few weeks for my annual visit.

It's got to be transformers, it makes too much sense, invest the money in developing the attraction once then construct it in multiple parks. I couldn't agree more with a prior poster who made this point
It doesn't make sense to invest in an attraction as a one off unless they think it has limited appeal. If this thread is any indication, the majority of us who love and visit uni orlando overwhelming expect transformers.
They've got the market and the product, now they're building it, its that simple.

Of course the marketing department must love all this attention, they'll keep teasing this as long as they can.
