I don't live in a castle or have any nearby in my world, so that's a huge attraction for me even if it weren't Harry Potter themed--but only if done right and not super cheesy. Also, it would be very feasible to have parts of Hogwarts or Hogsmeade or any other magical location inserted into the...
Since we're speculating, I'd love to see a half Beauxbatons/half Durmstrang hotel (half art nouveau or art deco, half castle fortress) with a permanent connection to the floo network (via a series of chimneys like in the MoM) leading to a Hogwarts Great Hall restaurant. Yes, we all know Rowling...
The thing about HTTYD that makes it a better choice for an EU land as opposed to Pets or Sing or even the Minions is that HTTYD is set in a world I'd actually like to visit, plus who doesn't want to fly a dragon? I can imagine multiple rides related to dragons and viking-like adventures that...
Just joining this thread. The #1 thing on my wishlist? A Great Hall restaurant hidden within the large building in the Fantastic Beasts area.
Yes, I know the Fantastic Beasts area is rumored to be in Paris. So what? create a permanent portkey/floo-powder entrance between Beauxbatons and...
Since Rowling refuses to approve a Hogwarts castle hotel, I'd like to see an Ilvermorny hotel, possibly one with permanent-portkeyed extensions into Hogwarts.
"We didn't have enough dormitories and common rooms for all our Ilvermorny students and guests, so we created several permanent portkey...
They need a build-a-bear style shop.
Adopt an Acromantula! Foster a Fire Crab! Pick a Pixie! Domesticate a Dragon! Housetrain a Hippogriff!
All at Beorn's Build-a-Bear Shoppe!
Oops, wrong fantasy novel series...
How is this ride going to appear from Hogsmeade? Will we be seeing bits of Hogwarts on our right and then the complete castle straight ahead on the left?
If the name is excessively long, people will just call it what they want. Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts = Gringotts. Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey = The Castle ride. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter = Harry Potter Land.
I'm betting people will end up calling this the...
Runaway Thestral Cart
Wagon Challenge
Forbidden Forest - Legend of the Ford Anglia
The Forest with Hagrid and Friends
Race through the Forbidden Forest Starring Hagrid
Luna and Hagrid's Excellent Adventure
Fantastic Beasts and How to Evade Them
I agree about the Wizarding World uniforms thus far. What the uniforms will be like on this ride will depend on the theming. Modified prefect uniforms seem likely if we're being loaded into thestral carriages or something similar. A blazer or short cape like these below would be cute.
Another reason indoor attractions are superior is the Florida heat and humidity. You can always hit rides with long outdoor queues early in the morning or in the evening, but the heat and humidity get to people eventually, which is probably why half the guests go home before evening.
Do we know...
Universal decided long ago to build a Harry Potter theme park; they just decided to divide it up between the two existing theme parks, to phase it in one sectionat a time, and use the income from it to replace older rides and to add a water park and eventually a third theme park. For people who...
Agreed, they don't. But if Alicia says it's on the Hogwarts grounds and not in the Forbidden Forest or Hogsmeade, then what else is left that hasn't already been done?
True, but Grimmauld Place and the London waterfront don't make them money, either, and they've got those.
An indoor queue through the Forbidden Forest could potentially be very cool, literally and figuratively. And yeah, the SS would have had to be atop a hill on the Hogsmeade side of the FF...
